Thanks to all our parent volunteers, and athletes who put their heart into our sport of biathlon, our programs, events, training and races in the 2025-26 season.
In particular, we’d like to recognize Kevin Rodger, our biathlon race competition lead for his volunteer efforts.
This year he lead the organization of the Canadian trials for participation at the Youth and Junior World championships. This was a 5-day event, with 85 biathletes, and more than 100 volunteers.
Here’s some of the amazing things co-organizers have to say about him:
“Kev makes it seem effortless but anyone who has been involved with the complexities of running a biathlon event knows that it is a craft.”
“Kevin remains calm even when pressure mounts and challenges arise. In this way, we all feel that everything is under control and no task or problem is overwhelming. He keeps everything in perspective. Kevin is also extraordinarily humble and quick to thank others before accepting praise for himself.”
“Kevin Rodgers is a force of nature. During all the years my son was involved in sea to sky biathlon Kevin led our committee to run very successful events such as the BC cups and world junior trails. Kevin has always been strategic, thorough in his organization skills as well as level headed and calm when it comes to solving issues that arose. I don’t think I ever saw him ruffled once, even when he devoted so much time to weekly meetings for months and Mia was not even competing that weekend as she was off in Europe. And man can Kevin design socks!”
“Kevin is the organization maestro, keeping us all on task with his spreadsheets, lists and Zoom meetings. I admire his dedication and commitment to the role. We all need someone like Kevin to keep us on our toes!”
Thank you for all of your hard work Kevin Rodgers. You’re one in a million.
