The Young Vikings program is designed for 9-14-year old participants. The program combines cross-country skiing, ski play and snow bump jumping with Biathlon activities. This is an afternoon program that allows participants to participate in a Jackrabbit or Track Attack cross-country program in the morning (link to X-C programs) and the Young Vikings program in the afternoon for a full day of fun.
There will be opportunities to participate in fun events such as Nordic cross relays as well biathlon and multi-sport events that focus on skill acquisition and teamwork.
The Young Vikings program is for participants in the FUNdamentals and Learn to Train stages of the Canadian Sport for Life – Long Term Athlete Development Model.
The Young Vikings Program will not be offered in winter 2020-2021. The cross-country Adventurers program includes many of the elements found in the Young Vikings Program.

The Kids On The Move Sports Fund is designed to help send children/youth of financially restricted families to coach-led sporting activities. Interested families who qualify financially are asked to apply through a Community Outreach Worker. The maximum grant allowed is $400.00 per year.
