John Heilig Squamish Legacy Sports Park
The John Heilig Squamish Legacy Sports Park is an 18 acre multi-sport park east of Highway 99 in Squamish, operated by Sea to Sky Nordics.
The park serves as an all-season training center for Nordic sports and public usage. The following training facilities are available at the park:
- 8 metre all-season ski jump
- 10 target biathlon range
- Spectacular wood-beam pavilion (can be reserved see below for more info)
- Disc golf course
- Climbing and bouldering crags
- Trails for walking, running, and biking
- Home to the Sea to Sky Nordics Summer multi-sport adventure camps for youth aged 8-14 years

Reserve the Pavilion at Legacy Park
The wood-beam pavilion at Legacy Park can be reserved by donation for outdoor events. Please text Rick Smith at 604-815-3612 or contact us via email. Donations assist with park and pavilion maintenance.
Note that the park and pavilion is booked during the school year to the Squamish Nature Learners (SNL), and the pavilion is not available for public use during this time.
Who was John Heilig?
A Nordic sports advocate and visionary
John Heilig was a passionate and influential figure in the world of Nordic sports, especially in the disciplines of ski jumping and Nordic combined. Based in the Sea to Sky region, John dedicated over 40 years to promoting and advancing these winter sports, first as a national team athlete and later as a coach at Calgary’s Canada Olympic Park.
