What is Coast Corridor United?

Coast Corridor United (CCU) is a cross country development program that fosters competitive athlete development and leadership in the Sea to Sky region and Nordic community for youth aged 9 and up. It is a collective of local XC clubs, that includes Spud Valley Nordics and Whistler Nordics, and now us – Sea to Sky Nordics.

We had three athletes participate in a trial this last season, and our Sea to Sky Nordics biathlon team participated in the collective in 2023/24 with great improvement in ski technique and speed. The athletes also had a blast. Now we’re officially joining as equal partners in this exciting collective.

Sea to Sky Nordics performance pathway for XC

The program will welcome athletes 9 and up who want more time on snow (or roller skis) to grow their Nordic skills, and race experience, if interested. Thanks to the hard work of our partners, we have awesome coaches in place for the season ahead, led by head coach Mia Siatorre.

We are excited to grow this pathway for anyone interested. No ski or race experience necessary. And lots of fun guaranteed!

How does the program work?

As a member of Sea to Sky, youth are eligible to register in CCU programs in the 2026-27 season. These are subsidized programs, with financial contributions from the three participating clubs, as well as grants from Cross Country Canada. This helps to ensure reasonable program rates, with exceptional technical coaches.

Dates, costs and programming are currently being finalized. There will be summer and fall dryland training, with more information coming soon. Dryland training will be twice weekly, with a third practice added once the snow falls.
