Year of Birth: 2008-2011

Program Description

Our Jackrabbit program is directed at children ages 6-9 (the ‘FUNdamentals’ stage of athlete development). This is the second level of our Youth Skill Development Program.

Our Jackrabbits program is divided into four levels, based on ability and experience.

The objective is for children to learn basic cross-country ski skills (classic in Levels 1 and 2; classic and skate skiing in levels 3 and 4) and to instill a lifelong interest in the sport, thereby enhancing their quality of life and health.

Sessions are offered on Sundays at Whistler Olympic.

Parent/Guardian Volunteers

In addition to our programs, the club hosts a number of events throughout the winter.  We are a community club and the success of our programs and events is built on parent participation.  We welcome volunteers in any role, from coaching to helping at an event, planning and admin roles and more.  Please contact the club if you would like to volunteer.
