Spring/Summer Training

CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR SPRING AND SUMMER BIATHLON PROGRAMS

2018 Program Description

Spring and summer training is highly recommended for athletes whose primary winter sport is biathlon, and for those who are interested in learning the basics of the sport in advance of the winter season. The purpose of spring and summer training is to develop a solid base of skiing and shooting fundamentals. Athletes will build on this base by refining skills and increasing speed in the summer and autumn seasons, setting themselves up for a fun and exciting winter season!

Our spring and summer biathlon training programs will involve a variety of activities, including rollerskiing, shooting, and ski-specific and general exercises which keep training fun and challenging.

In 2018 there will be weekly shooting training sessions at the Squamish Legacy Sports Park, and weekend biathlon camps at Whistler Olympic Park.

All participants in our spring/summer biathlon training must be registered participants with Biathlon Canada. Registration for the 2018/2019 season is available at https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=17846.
