July Summer Biathlon Camp

Our July summer biathlon camp is for athletes born in 2008 and older.
The training activities at this camp will include rollerskiing, shooting, strengthening, agility/balance/coordination exercises and other ski-specific and general activities that are fun and challenging.
The purpose of our summer camps is to set athletes up for a successful and enjoyable season, by developing general athletic abilities and biathlon-specific skiing and shooting skills.
No prior biathlon experience is required for our July camp. Novice/recreational participants are welcome at this camp and it is a great way to get started or more involved in the sport of biathlon!
There will be separate groups for experienced and novice athletes at this camp.
All participants in our biathlon camps and programs must be registered participants with Biathlon Canada or US Biathlon.

All participants will need running shoes, and active wear appropriate for the conditions of the weekend.
Participants should bring water, lunch and snacks. Please note there are no food service facilities or running water at the Squamish Legacy Sports Park.
For novice/recreational participants, biathlon equipment (rifle, ammunition, etc.) will be provided. Skate roller skis are available to borrow for the camp, but you would need to provide your own skate boots, skate poles, and bike helmet.
Experienced biathletes should bring their rifle and skate roller skiing equipment.
What is Included in the Camp Fee
The camp fee includes coaching, biathlon range fees, and ammunition. You can bring your own ammunition if you prefer, but ammunition will be provided as part of the camp fee.
Location and Schedule
This camp will be held at the Squamish Legacy Sports Park, at 1046 Raven Drive in Squamish.
This camp will run from 10:00-16:00 on July 6th and 7th. Please arrive at the Pavilion building by 9:30 to get settled and to help set up the facility so the camp can start on time at 10:00. Athletes will be ready for pickup at 16:00 at the Pavilion building each day.

Born in 2000 and older: $200
Payment can be made by cheque or e-transfer and must be received at or prior to the start of the camp.

Directions to the Squamish Legacy Sports Park
Parking for the Squamish Legacy Sports Park is accessed on the north side of Raven Drive. The meeting place for the start and end of the camp will be at the Pavilion building, which is about a 300m walk heading north on the main path from the parking lot.
