Program Description

Our Jackrabbit program is directed at children ages 6-9 (the ‘FUNdamentals’ stage of athlete development). This is the second level of our Youth Skill Development Program.

Our Jackrabbits program is divided into four levels, based on ability and experience.

The objective is for children to learn basic cross-country ski skills (classic in Levels 1 and 2; classic and skate skiing in levels 3 and 4) and to instill a lifelong interest in the sport, thereby enhancing their quality of life and health. The program is designed to develop fundamental movement skills, build overall motor skills, confidence and social skills, and encourage fun and participation, and low-key competitions are introduced.

Sessions are offered on Sundays at Whistler Olympic Park and will meet at the cross country technical building.
