Teen Biathlon is our recreational biathlon program for teenagers born in 1998-2003.
This program will develop biathlon skills in a safe and fun environment through a combination of drills, games and relays. The goal of the program is to develop skiing and shooting skills while participating in a fun and active outdoor sport-for-life.
This program follows our Biathlon Bears program, and leads into our Recreational Biathlon program for adults or our competitive Youth Biathlon program.
– at least one season of ski experience (nordic or alpine)
– be registered with Biathlon Canada as a “Recreational Athlete”
– no biathlon or shooting experience is required but prior participation in a biathlon camp, recreational biathlon race or demo day is recommended
2016/2017 Schedule and Dates
9 sessions at Whistler Olympic Park from 13:00-15:00 on Saturdays or Sundays:
Saturdays: December 3,10*,17, January 7,14,21, February 11,18,25
Sundays: December 4,11,18, January 8*,15,22, February 12,19*,26
* December 10, January 8 and February 19 sessions will involve participation in the Biathlon Series recreational categories (no additional registration cost)
$250 for 9 sessions (includes use of rifle and ammunition)
Trail passes and entry into events are not included in the program fee.
Youth who register in our Teen Biathlon program are eligible for a $35 Whistler Olympic Park seasons pass, a significant discount off the regular price. This offer is only available in conjunction with program registration.
Participants are required to provide their own skate skiing equipment. If you want to rent equipment we recommend the seasonal rental package from the Whistler Olympic Park rental shop.
